Turtles of New Jersey

Whether it’s swimming in the ocean or wandering through your backyard, we have turtles of all kinds here in New Jersey! During this presentation, we’ll meet several different species of turtle that can be found locally, including a species that lives in a very special habitat - the Northern Diamondback Terrapin.

The Wetlands Institute strives to promote appreciation, understanding & stewardship of wetlands and coastal ecosystems through our programs in research, conservation, and education by:

• Teaching people of all ages the value of wetlands and coastal ecosystems for the survival of life on earth
• Conducting cutting-edge research regarding wetlands and coastal ecosystems
• Encouraging stewardship of these ecosystems worldwide
