Join us for a presentation all about dragonflies and damselflies, of the order known as Odonata. We will look at their biology and life cycle, and look at some of South Jersey's most common odes.
Mike Hannisian taught secondary and post-secondary English and math, was a civil trial attorney, and ran a non-profit land trust. (He readily admits he does not know what he wants to do when he grows up.) Mike also has been a photographer since 1968 and has taught and led photography and natural history workshops from Maine to Florida and Michigan to Texas since the mid 1970s. He has been an Associate Naturalist with the Cape May Bird Observatory, was a charter member of the Rio Grande Valley Chapter Texas Master Naturalists, a Certified Interpretive Guide, and the Resident Naturalist at the Indian Ridge B&B in Mission, Texas. Mike repeatedly had winning images at the Valley Land Fund's Wildlife Photography Contests, including Best of Contest in 2008. Mike's writings and photos have been published in various books and magazines. A variety of his images can be seen on his FB page: https://www.facebook.com/mike.hannisian/
