Baby Turtle Season – The Northern Diamondback Terrapin
Though in Cape May County we often think of seeing terrapins crossing the road during the summer months, the fall is another important time for terrapins as this is when the hatchling terrapins emerge from their nests! This lecture will introduce the Diamondback Terrapin, discuss how and why they nest here, and what those hatchlings do after emerging from their nest.
