Looking to add an interesting new layer to your healthful diet? Gourmet mushrooms are flavorful and easy to prepare! Join Lin and Jess of Wood Song Mushrooms as we present the basics of “Cooking Gourmet Mushrooms” at home. In each class we will introduce you to one of our specialty mushrooms. We will be offering tastings of simple preparations to inspire you to elevate your favorite recipes.

Lin Conover, owner of Wood Song Mushrooms, LLC, first began learning about mushrooms through a deep dive into soil health and composting methods. With an appreciation for the integral role fungus has for our living planet, she began the process of identifying wild species and growing cultivated mushrooms. Wood Song Mushrooms now provides fresh mushrooms and related products, in addition to educational programs, nature/foraging walks and hands-on experiences.

Jessica Kirk is Cape May County born and raised, trained as a young person in the culinary arts under chef Masterson at Cape May County Technical HS. Like most who call this county home, she is a lover of nature, green and growing things, art and of course food! She is a new addition to the Wood Song team whose passion for all things Mushrooms has been ignited through education on the cultivation and many uses of these Fantastic Fungi. Inspired by their versatility, she has come up with some simple yet delicious recipes to share with those looking to expand their mind and their palate on What's Possible with Mushrooms!
