Every year, in the spring billions of songbirds take to the sky and fly to destinations near and far. Why do they undertake such mass migrations? How do they know where to go? How come I’ve never noticed 100,000 birds flying over my head? All of these questions and more will be answered! This program will be about an hour long including a question and answer period.
My Name is Josh Gant, and I am an environmental educator and the owner and lead guide for Hidden Bittern Birding Co. I also work part time as a naturalist for the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation. I had always been an outdoorsman but birding became my real passion about 10 years ago. Since then I have traveled around the country finding birds and showing people the beauty of nature. I am so glad to be able to share my knowledge with all of you.
