Since its founding over 50 years ago, conservation has been a key part of The Wetlands Institute's mission. At this presentation, we'll discuss three of our main areas of conservation (terrapins, horseshoe crabs, and birds), why these animals need our help, the work we have done, and what you can do to help them!

The Wetlands Institute strives to promote appreciation, understanding & stewardship of wetlands and coastal ecosystems through our programs in research, conservation, and education by:

• Teaching people of all ages the value of wetlands and coastal ecosystems for the survival of life on earth
• Conducting cutting-edge research regarding wetlands and coastal ecosystems
• Encouraging stewardship of these ecosystems worldwide
