During this class I will be showing you how to create a layered chocolate strawberry trifle. There are four different components to this dessert, which includes a chocolate banana bread made with Oreo cocoa powder and chocolate chips. Other components include; chocolate pastry cream, strawberry compote filling, and Chantilly cream. All components and every component I make will be made from scratch. Each of these can be used in other desserts and are very versatile.
My name is Jennalyn Peteani. I am a born and raised local of Cape May County. I earned my Baking and Pastry Degree in 2019 from the Academy of Culinary Arts of Atlantic Cape Community College in Mays Landing. I began working in the baking industry at Chocolate Face Cupcake and Brownie at the young age of 14 years old. I am currently a pastry chef at Bryne BYOB located in Cape May part of the Kara Restaurant group. Prior to working at Bryne BYOB, I ran Historic Cold Spring Village bakery for three consecutive years. I look forward to teaching at the Cape May County Libraries and sharing a few baking tips and tricks I have learned over the years!
