Ages 5+. Discover famous artists and explore their styles and techniques!
Every ArtQuest event will highlight a different famous artist and offer an art project in that artist's style!
This week, we will explore the artwork of Louise Nevelson, best known for her sculpture art called assemblage. Assemblage art is made from "found" objects or materials, pieced together like a three-dimensional collage of random things. Nevelson preferred to paint her sculptures entirely in one color after assembling them. We will create Nevelson-inspired assemblage sculptures with "found" objects and materials, glue, and paint!
ArtQuest is designed for school-aged children and tweens, 5 and older, and accompanying adults. Please plan to attend and be engaged with your child for this program!
