Ducks, Geese and Swans of New Jersey- Everyone knows what a duck looks like, usually the first thing we think of is a mallard that common green headed duck of puddles and ponds, or a Canada Goose who can be found all across our fields and lawns, and who can forget the large white and showy Mute Swan with its long graceful neck and bulbous orange knobbed bill, but what about the others. Join us as we discover over 30 other species of waterfowl that come to New Jersey every year. This program will be about an hour long including a question and answer period.
My Name is Josh Gant, and I am an environmental educator and the owner and lead guide for Hidden Bittern Birding Co. I also work part time as a naturalist for the Ocean County Department of Parks and Recreation. I had always been an outdoorsman but birding became my real passion about 10 years ago. Since then I have traveled around the country finding birds and showing people the beauty of nature. I am so glad to be able to share my knowledge with all of you.
