Join us for a 2-week class to learn the basic techniques of mosaics while creating a unique, personal art piece. Each project will be designed by the student with input from the instructor.
Students should choose one of three projects:
Students are requested to bring paper towels, newspaper, soft rags, a coffee can, and a hammer to class. Dress in old clothes. Mastic plus grout will be provided. Each student should also gather a shoes box of "findings" i.e. broken china, mirror, buttons, etc. The instructor will also provide some.
This is a 2-class series, occurring on Wednesdays from 2pm-5pm:

Susan Zipper - Born in the United Kingdom to an Air Force family, I was fortunate enough to have been exposed to a number of places to call home. Finally settling in Cape May County in 1972. I began to study the art form of mosaics, eventually creating various pieces to exhibit and sell. It was then that I discovered that not only could I produce mosaics but that the medium was perfect for my creative nature and desire to explore ideas. It was also a way to be conscious of the environment and use many recyclable materials, keeping the costs of making art affordable and available.
