Join us September 22 to October 1, 2022, when over 100,000 film lovers in over 500 cities across six continents gather in Cinemas, Museums, Libraries and Universities for one purpose...to view and vote on the Finalists' Films in the 25th Annual MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival.

The festival will be screened at Cape May County Libraries on the following dates:

• Thursday 9/22: Court House, 6pm-8pm
• Friday 9/23: Upper Township, 1pm-3pm
• Saturday 9/24: Sea Isle City, 1pm-3pm
• Monday 9/26: Stone Harbor, 6pm-8pm
• Tuesday 9/27: Cape May City, 6pm-8pm
• Wednesday 9/28: Lower Township, 6pm-8pm
• Friday 9/30: Wildwood Crest, 1pm-3pm
• Saturday 10/1: Woodbine Community Center, 1pm-3pm

The Final Ten MANHATTAN SHORT finalists hail from eight countries with films from Scotland, Chechia & Slovakia, Spain, Australia, Finland and Lebanon, alongside two films each from France and USA. These Final Ten Films represent the best short films from among 868 submissions from 70 countries received by MANHATTAN SHORT for 2022, testimony to the enduring vibrancy and creativity of short films worldwide.

The MANHATTAN SHORT Final Ten are:
Don vs Lightning (Scotland), Love, Dad (Chechia & Slovakia), Save the Bees (USA), The Treatment (Spain), Freefall (France), Fetish (USA), Freedom Swimmer (Australia), The Blanket (Finland), Warsha (Lebanon), The Big Green (France).

WHAT IS MANHATTAN SHORT?
MANHATTAN SHORT is not a touring Festival; rather, it is an instantaneous celebration that occurs simultaneously across the globe, bringing great films to great venues and allowing the audiences to select their favorites. If the Film Festival experience truly is about getting great works in front of as many eyes as possible, MANHATTAN SHORT offers the ultimate platform -- one that sees its films screened in Sydney, Mumbai, Moscow, Vienna, Cape Town to cinemas in all fifty states of the United States and beyond.

MANHATTAN SHORT 2022 OSCAR QUALIFYING SCREENINGS
MANHATTAN SHORT LOVES OSCAR! Finalists will be part of the MANHATTTAN SHORT Oscar Qualifying Run. This means all selected films will screen for a full week at a cinema in the county of Los Angeles. This run qualifies every film selected in MANHATTAN SHORT for the Oscars.

MANHATTAN SHORT FILMS HAVE BEEN TO THE OSCARS BEFORE! Many past Finalists from MANHATTAN SHORT have been nominated for an Oscar (SHOK and Bear Story from 2015, to name just two). Our audiences and cinemas love nothing more than seeing a film they voted for at MANHATTAN SHORT at the Oscars. Once a nominee is announced, our partnering cinemas and loyal audiences champion those films and filmmakers through social media all the way to the podium! In the last three years at least one film from the MANHATTAN SHORT's Oscar Qualifying Screenings has gone on to be nominated for an Oscar.
