Move and Meditate is a standing class which combines stretching and balance with movements inspired by Tai Chi, Qi Gong and Yoga. The movements are fluid and choreographed to music. Class is 45-50 minutes and concludes with a seated meditation. The active part of the class will help the participant to relax so that sitting for meditation will come more easily.
Chairs will be provided for the meditation (you can use a mat if you prefer) and can be used for assistance and balance. All are welcome.
As a dance fitness instructor, Cathy is used to teaching fast paced classes with loud music, but she would like to offer people a peaceful and calm atmosphere where they could connect with their breath, body, heart, and soul and leave all the stress and demands behind for a little while.
Cathy Cashmere is a certified aerobics instructor, tai chi instructor and life coach. She has been teaching dance fitness and line dancing for 8 years at various locations in Cape May County. She is a dancer with Atlantic City Soul Line. Cathy's goal is to offer individuals a way to have fun while adding more movement into their lives and to connect people to each other and to new experiences. http://www.cccinspire.com/
