Though our marshes are a vast ecosystem of animals, they are supported by a variety of plant life! In this presentation, we’ll discuss the many plants of the marsh and how they’re used by animals (including us). Includes some edible marsh plants!

 

The Wetlands Institute strives to promote appreciation, understanding & stewardship of wetlands and coastal ecosystems through our programs in research, conservation, and education by:

  • Teaching people of all ages the value of wetlands and coastal ecosystems for the survival of life on earth
  • Conducting cutting-edge research regarding wetlands and coastal ecosystems
  • Encouraging stewardship of these ecosystems worldwide
