Brian Betz & George Vanderbilt Jazz Guitar Duo
South Jersey Guitarists who will be playing a 50-mintue concert consisting of Jazz Standards from The Great American Songbook, followed by a 10 minute Q&A.
Brian Betz is a guitarist, composer, and educator that resides in the Philadelphia Metro Area performing throughout the United States with a vast array of musical artists. Brian currently has 6 CD releases available on the Dreambox Media Label and holds two degrees from Rowan University(BM, MM) where he is currently on faculty and heading the jazz guitar department. Brian gives concerts, clinics, and masterclasses throughout the United States. They include appearances at: The Exit 0 International Jazz Festival, Berks Jazz Festival, Cape May Jazz Festival, Rowan University Jazz Festival, Villanova Jazz Festival, Clifford Brown Jazz Festival.
George Vanderbilt is a professional jazz guitarist from Southern New Jersey. He holds both his bachelor’s and master's degree in music from Rowan University. George has been performing and teaching music for over 18 years. Currently, he teaches at the Music Academy in Toms River and the Rowan Community Music School. As a performer, he can be found playing throughout the tri-state area. Most recently he recorded his first EP titled “Go Again” in the late spring featuring Philadelphia’s John Swana (EVI), Chris Simonini (Organ), and Gavin McCauley (Drums) set to be released sometime in fall 2024.
