Exploring Abstraction

Class has been cancelled for 3/17. The make-up class has been scheduled for Monday, April 7th at the WILDWOOD CREST LIBRARY.

A 3-week workshop to explore painting in the abstract style, we will find inspiration in the work of historical and contemporary artists. In a relaxed studio atmosphere we will create loose, expressive abstract paintings, with emphasis on creativity and feeling. All levels welcome - novice to seasoned artist looking to loosen up their painting style.

Materials Required:

• Paper min size 9x12 Acrylic, Mixed Media or Canvas Paper (or canvas)
• Acrylic Paints - can be student grade assortment
• Brushes - some large - can even be hardware store type
• Spray water bottle (optional)
• Pencils, crayons or colored pencils - whatever you have
• Jar with lid for water
• Paint Rag
• Palette Knife
• Paper towel
• Surface for paint palette (can be paper plate)

This is a 3-class series, occurring on Mondays from 11am-1pm at the Cape May City Library:

• March 17th
• March 24th
• March 31st

All registrants are required to attend the first class of a series. If absent, your spot will be given to the next in line on the Waitlist.
