Memoir Writing from Prompts – A Six-Week Workshop
A memoir is a true account of aspects of one’s life. It is not an autobiography. They differ in scope. A memoir covers particular experiences, memorable periods, or lessons learned; an autobiography tells a person’s entire life. How can we excavate those experiences, memories, and lessons that we believe are important to share? An excellent method is through the use of prompts. Prompts function as springboards into memory, creativity, and imagination. During each session of this six-week workshop, writer Eva Feeley will provide a different prompt to help you lay the groundwork for the “snapshots” of your life.
This is a 6-class series being held on Wednesdays, 10am-11:30am in the Sea Isle City Library board room on the following dates::
All registrants are required to attend the first class of a series. If absent, your spot will be given to the next in line on the Waitlist.
