A 3-week workshop to explore painting in the abstract style, we will find inspiration in the work of historical and contemporary artists. In a relaxed studio atmosphere we will create loose, expressive abstract paintings, with emphasis on creativity and feeling. All levels welcome - novice to seasoned artist looking to loosen up their painting style.
Materials Required:
- Paper min size 9x12 Acrylic, Mixed Media or Canvas Paper (or canvas)
- Acrylic Paints - can be student grade assortment
- Brushes - some large - can even be hardware store type
- Spray water bottle (optional)
- Pencils, crayons or colored pencils - whatever you have
- Jar with lid for water
- Paint Rag
- Palette Knife
- Paper towel
- Surface for paint palette (can be paper plate)
This is a 3-class series, occurring on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm at the Lower Cape Library:
- Sept. 3rd
- Sept. 10th
- Sept. 17th
All registrants are required to attend the first class of a series. If absent, your spot will be given to the next in line on the Waitlist.
